Do I need to be looking at this as the root of the problem? I bought the mower used and have done a great deal of work to it with this being the final and hardest hurdle. Also I have seen where Kohler sells a clamping diode kit for the PTO clutch. Can you tell me what the spec is or if kohler offers a replacement part for this please? The one I have removed was a 1N4006 diode.
The diode in the wiring harness coming from the ignition coils has gone bad and I believe was replaced at some point in the past with the incorrect diode. Questions-or-comments= I have a Kohler CH 23S on a John Deere M653 mower.
